Most importantly, these ceremonies are group ceremonies, with daily integration circles, nature activities, and mindfulness ceremonies. Most of all, we experience our profound healing in relationships together.

As you know, each of us has our unique life story and thus a constellation of impacts that we keep, sometimes more guarded than others due to feeling alone. As a result, this keeps us from seeing the commonality and humanness that we all share with life stresses, events, and traumas; more importantly, it can stop us from seeing, hearing, and feeling ourselves and others, within the intimacy of relationships with others.  This is the core of it, and stops us from accepting, validating, and loving ourselves and others. Unless you understand what happened to you, you end up not seeing all the potential in you and being in relationships with others from their potential.

If you have ever done group work, you know that what makes group work so relieving is this process of unveiling, showing that every unique feeling, thought, and experience is also the lived experience of us all. Most importantly, when we share things such as shame, self-blame, stigma, secrecy, suicide attempts, etc. we make great strides in therapy with our subjective experiences giving everyone authenticity to heal.

About psilocybin therapy

Psilocybin therapy is an approach being investigated for the treatment of mental health challenges. It combines the pharmacological effects of psilocybin, a psychoactive substance, with psychological support.

Early research carried out in pioneering academic institutions has shown signs that psilocybin, when taken with psychological assistance from particularly qualified therapists, may be a safe and useful medication for people with depression, anxiety, addiction, and other mental diseases. What happens during psilocybin therapy?

Preparation:
In these first preparation sessions, the therapist and patient get to know each other and form a trusting relationship, so the patient can feel supported and at ease during the psilocybin session.

The psilocybin session:
The session will take place in a comfortable room, designed specifically for the session. They receive a dose of psilocybin in a capsule. During the experience, patients listen to a specially designed music playlist and wear an eye mask, to help them focus internally. The psilocybin experience typically lasts 6-8 hours. A therapists and an assistants are present throughout the session.

Integration:
Patients are encouraged to discuss their experiences of the psilocybin session. The goal is for patients, with guidance from their therapist, to generate their own insights and ideas from the experience to change unhelpful emotional and behavioural patterns.

How does psychedelic therapy help?

Breaking patterns of addiction: Psilocybin therapy can disrupt entrenched patterns of addiction by inducing powerful psychedelic experiences. These experiences often lead to a shift in perception and thinking, allowing individuals to break free from the cycle of alcohol abuse. By providing a different perspective, psilocybin therapy can help individuals recognize the negative consequences of their addiction and motivate them to make positive changes.

Facilitating emotional healing: Many individuals with alcohol addiction have underlying emotional trauma or unresolved issues that contribute to their substance abuse. Psilocybin therapy can facilitate emotional healing by allowing individuals to explore and process difficult emotions in a supportive and controlled environment. This can lead to a greater understanding of the root causes of addiction and provide an opportunity for emotional growth and healing.

Increasing self-awareness and introspection: Psilocybin therapy promotes self-reflection and introspection. It can help individuals gain insights into their behaviors, thoughts, and emotions related to alcohol addiction. By increasing self-awareness, individuals can identify triggers, patterns, and underlying factors that contribute to their addictive behaviors. This heightened self-awareness can then be used to develop healthier coping strategies and make informed decisions regarding alcohol use.

Promoting psychological well-being: Psilocybin has been shown to have antidepressant and anxiolytic effects, promoting psychological well-being. Many individuals with alcohol addiction also struggle with co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Psilocybin therapy can address these conditions by reducing symptoms and improving overall mental well-being, which can aid in the recovery process.

Facilitating behavior change and maintaining sobriety: The profound experiences induced by psilocybin therapy can lead to lasting changes in behavior and perspective. Many individuals report increased motivation, a sense of interconnectedness, and a desire to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life after a psilocybin experience. These mindset shifts can support individuals in maintaining sobriety and making positive changes in their lives.

Psilocybin cuts cravings and boosts key brain: Completely cuts your cravings for alcohol, connections in your brain, and relationships with alcohol. Also, encourage the growth of new connections between neurons in the brain.
