Remember, we are with you each day.
Unless you understand what happened to you, you end up not seeing all the potential in you.
Phase Overview:
Moving Forward with Individual Therapy
Over 4 weeks, you will have a session with a dedicated therapist that will include psycho-therapeutic methods and practices such as hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, and trauma counseling. And, we will continue to keep in touch with you weekly, as we did in Phase 1, to monitor progress and celebrate.
In these initial four therapy sessions, we will discover and gain new perspectives on what happened to you, what you may have developed as adaptations and attachments, and how these patterns of self-regulation became your coping patterns and manifested in your addiction to alcohol. Our view on all this is real, that to control your pain and suffering, alcohol was your protector and your friend, often keeping you away from suffering.
In this beginning stage, much of our work will involve depth psychology exploring the relationship between your conscious and your non-conscious mind. This process is unique to you, often involving us uncovering memories, feelings, bodily sensations, and emotions that we have been ignoring, denying, and trying to forget. We will access and learn from this; let our mind and body tell us where to heal.
We will explore both the conscious parts and hidden parts of your personality and get clear on the parts that are no longer helping and start to move forward with the ones that do help. We will discover these parts and forge new relationships with them.
We will also be preparing you for Group work and your psilocybin therapy.
Please note that if needed, additional sessions may be necessary to fully explore your own life story. If so, we will discuss it with you directly usually at session 2 or 3.
